Transmission and Transfer Case Slip Yokes by Dimensions

Use this guide if you don't know your transmission or transfer case model.

A.) Spline Diameter
Measure the major diameter (deepest part) inside the slip yoke or the spline outside diameter on the vehicle's transmission or transfer case.

B.) Barrel Outside Diameter
Measure the outside of the barrel diameter on the slip yoke or the inside diameter of the trans seal.

C.) Spline Count
Each spline counts as one spline. Some slip yokes have blank spaces called blind spots. Count each blind spot as one spline.

D.) Slip Yoke Length
Measure from the end of slip to center of u-joint.

Bearing Cap Diameter: Width over the u-joint cap diameter.
Lock Up: Distance measured between u-joint snap rings. Compress the u-joint caps before measuring.
